Southchurch

Southchurch sits between the seafront and Southend's northern suburbs, east of the town centre. It has its own identity with Southchurch Hall and the park, which is a proper medieval moated manor house. The housing is predominantly 1930s semis with some Victorian streets closer to the seafront. Southchurch Road has a parade of shops and takeaways. It is a solid, middle-of-the-road residential area, popular with families who want something between the bustle of central Southend and the quieter eastern end.
