Westborough runs along the London Road corridor on the western side of the town centre. It is one of the more diverse parts of Southend, with a concentration of independent shops, restaurants, and community organisations along London Road. Housing is mainly Victorian and Edwardian terraces, a lot of them split into flats. It has more of an urban, inner-city feel than most of Southend. Chalkwell Park is a real asset on the northern edge. The area is affordable and well connected to both Southend stations.
