West Chiltington, Thakeham & Ashington

Three scattered villages north of Storrington. West Chiltington is the most substantial, with a village green, a pub, and some good housing along leafy lanes. It has a reputation as a desirable address in this part of Sussex. Thakeham is smaller, with a church and a pub. Ashington sits on the A24 and has more through traffic than is ideal. All three are firmly car-dependent. The area is affluent, with larger detached properties and good access to the Downs. Pulborough station is the nearest, about 10 minutes by car.
