BR8 7 / BR8 9
This is the town centre end of Swanley, around the high street and the station. The shopping parade is functional rather than attractive, with the usual mix of takeaways, a Lidl, and some independent shops. The Asda and retail park cover the basics. Housing is a mix of post-war council stock, some of it ex-right-to-buy, and newer private developments. The station is the big asset, with fast trains into London. It is not a place you would move to for its looks, but it works if you need affordable Kent with a direct rail line.
