This covers the string of small villages across inland Thanet, including Minster-in-Thanet, Monkton, Acol, St Nicholas-at-Wade, and Sarre. Minster is the main one, with a proper village centre, a Norman abbey, a primary school, and enough shops to get by without driving into Ramsgate. The others are tiny, sometimes just a church and a handful of houses along a lane. The landscape is flat arable farmland, big skies, and not much else. Manston airport closed in 2014 and there has been years of back-and-forth about reopening it, which hangs over some of the area. Housing is a mix of older village cottages and newer estates on the edges of Minster. You need a car for almost everything, but Minster has its own train station on the line to London Victoria via Canterbury.
