The southern half sits closer to Benfleet and the A13 corridor, making it slightly more connected but also a bit noisier on the main road edges. Housing is typical south Essex suburban, rows of well-kept semis from the interwar and postwar period. Benfleet station and the shops along the High Road are within reach on foot from parts of this area, which makes it more practical day to day. Kenneth Road and the streets around The Glen are solidly residential with a settled, family feel. Nothing flashy, just functional suburban Essex.
