St James' covers the area around St James' Church on the eastern side of the town centre. It's a residential area with a mix of Victorian terraces and some larger houses. The park of the same name is a useful green space. It's close enough to walk into the centre and the station, which keeps it practical for commuters. Not as characterful as some other parts of town, but solid and well-located.
