Kingston Bagpuize sits on the A415 between Abingdon and Faringdon, a village that's grown quite a bit with new housing estates on the edges. The older core has a green, a church, and Kingston Bagpuize House with its gardens. There's a village shop and a primary school. The A420 nearby gives decent access to Oxford and Swindon, which matters because public transport out here is limited. It doesn't have the chocolate-box appeal of the downland villages but it's more affordable and practical for families who need space.
