Kings Hill is a purpose-built development on the old RAF West Malling site, and it looks exactly like you would expect. Neat cul-de-sacs, a business park, a golf course, and a small commercial centre with a Waitrose, a few chains, and some restaurants. The housing is almost entirely new-build, ranging from starter flats to large detached family homes. It is popular with families because everything is clean, safe, and designed with kids in mind. There is a community centre, sports facilities, and the schools are well regarded. The downside is that it has no real soul or history. If you want a traditional Kent village with character, this is not it. If you want a modern, well-maintained estate with good facilities and easy access to the M20, it does the job well.
