Deddington is a proper Oxfordshire village with a large sloping market square, a few good pubs including the Deddington Arms, and a well-stocked Co-op that saves you the drive into Banbury for basics. The church is huge for a village this size, a leftover from when it was a medieval market town. The farmers' market on the fourth Saturday of each month is genuinely popular and draws people from surrounding villages. Housing is a mix of honey-coloured Cotswold stone cottages in the centre and some newer builds on the edges. The ward itself covers a swathe of rural north Oxfordshire, taking in villages like Steeple Aston, Middle Barton, and the Tews. You need a car for everything. Banbury is the nearest town for proper shopping and the station, about 15 minutes drive.
