Alexandra Park

Alexandra Park is dominated by the palace and its grounds, which give the area a sense of space that's unusual for North London. The residential streets south and east of the park are mostly Edwardian terraces, well maintained and popular with families. You get incredible views across London from the top. The palace itself hosts events and has an ice rink and a farmers' market. It's not really a destination high street area, so you'll drift towards Muswell Hill or Crouch End for daily shopping. The station is on the overground line into Moorgate, which is useful but not fast.
