Kingsgate

Kingsgate is the quieter, more genteel end of Margate's coastline, up towards North Foreland and Broadstairs. Detached houses and bungalows, many with sea views, on wide roads with a suburban feel. Kingsgate Bay is a proper hidden cove, one of the nicest beaches in Thanet. The Captain Digby pub sits on the clifftop. No shops to speak of, so you're driving to Broadstairs or Margate for everything. It feels closer in character to Broadstairs than to Margate.
