St Dunstan's

St Dunstan's is the area around Stepney Green, named after the medieval church of St Dunstan's. It is one of the older, more settled parts of Tower Hamlets, with a mix of Victorian terraces and council estates. Stepney Green itself is a pleasant strip of parkland. The area has a strong Bangladeshi and Somali community. Stepney Green tube on the District and Hammersmith & City lines is the main connection. It is residential, quiet by Tower Hamlets standards, and feels like a neighbourhood rather than a through-route.
